KNL011 “The Art of Retention”

Retaining clients may prove more difficult than therapists realize. Learning the art of retention not only benefits the client, but ultimately, it helps build your brand as a professional in the industry. As a provider we sometimes loose sight that our clients are consumers and as providers we must not only attract and motivate our clients but invest energy into retaining clients as well.

Many times Kristin and I have engaged in conversations with our colleagues about how to retain patients, what can they do more of, or what they are doing wrong. While we would hesitate to say anything is “wrong”, there are certainly things therapists can do to help with show rate compliance and create an environment that increases the likelihood of consumer satisfaction.
